The Bentleys 2008 National Residential Aged Care Survey is the most comprehensive survey of its kind in the sector.
This survey, now in its 14th year, provides information that goes beyond simple "headline" data,
and allows services to identify and act on business drivers.
At the completion of the registration process, you will be provided, via
your nominated email address, with a username and password (which can
then be updated to your own preferred password).
This username and password is your access to the online survey.
The online survey also allows you to save and close as needed, so you
can start and stop at your convenience.
Where other staff within your organisation are required to provide information,
they can login to the survey using the same username and password details.
If you have trouble accessing the site, or wish to discuss other methods of
submitting your data (such as an Excel based version), please contact us at:
nationalsurvey@bris.bentleys.com.au
All participants that complete the survey online by 31 October 2008 will
receive a FREE Custom Participant Report, valued at over $400.
This Participant Report will provide comparative analysis for individual
services across a range of income and expense cost centres – and will identify
variances on a priority basis. So your service will be able to pinpoint
exactly where money can be saved in future planning.
Survey participation closes on 14 November 2008.

identify anomalies in the data, and spot emerging trends. Throughout
this process, we will provide regular progress updates.
When data
collection closes on 14 November 2008, we will then finalise the
survey and in December 2008 all participants will receive:
1. Electronic benchmarking data displaying each individual service/s data
compared to other survey participants. Similar-sized services will be
collated on a state by state basis, allowing benchmarking against
comparable services.
Performance drivers such as occupancy,
income levels, accommodation bond information and staffing hours
are amongst the categories analysed.
2. Electronic data files displaying State and National Averages for
Low, High or Merged Services. These averages will be categorised
by provider type (Private Providers, Government/NFPs, or All)
All profit and loss benchmarks are provided by cost centre AND alphabetically.
3. A comprehensive analysis of the survey results with explanatory graphs
and tables and expert commentary, drawing on 14 years of survey insights.
4. A Custom Participant Report (where applicable) providing comparative
analysis for individual services across a range of income and expense cost
centres – and identifying variances on a priority basis.
