The results of the 2013 Bentleys National Aged Care Survey are in!
A sneak peak at the topline findings have revealed some significant insights for the industry as we approach major reform:
- Changing funding sources (moving from Government funding to consumer funding) in aged care will introduce new levels of financial risks for providers - including increases in debtor days and risk margins.
- Accommodation pricing represents a tremendous opportunity to close the gap between costs and income in this fundamental business stream.
- Funding and capacity have limited the growth in time allocated to the needs of residents over the past nine years. These same constraints are also reflective of the changing nature of care provision.
